...A Moment, A Love...

Sweet disposition Never too soon
Oh reckless abandon, Like no one's watching you

A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
A kiss, a cry
Our rights, our wrongs

A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh

Just stay there, Cause I'll be comin' over
While our bloods still young
It's so young, it runs, Won't stop til it's over
Won't stop to surrender

Songs of desperation
I played them for you
A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
A kiss, a cry
our rights, our wrongs

A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh

Just stay there, Cause I'll be comin' over
While our bloods still young
It's so young, it runs
Won't stop til it's over
Won't stop to surrender

A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
A kiss, a cry
Our rights, our wrongs (won't stop til it's over)
A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
A moment, a love
A moment, a love (won't stop to surrender)

-here comes the rest of our lives-

With everything I've ever done
I'd give it all to everyone for one more day
Another night I'm waking through
Anther door I walk into
I can't break

It's a winding road
It's a long way home

So don't wait for someone to tell you it's too late
Cause these are the best days
There's always something tomorrow
So I say let's make the best of tonight
Here comes the rest of our lives

I count the steps the distance to
The time when it was me and you is so far gone
Another face another friend
Another place another end but I'll hang on

It's a winding road
It's a long way home

So don't wait for someone to tell you it's too late
Cause these are the best days
There's always something tomorrow
So I say let's make the best of tonight
Yeah let's make the best of tonight
Here comes the rest of our lives

It's a winding road
It's a long way home

So don't wait for someone to tell you it's too late
Cause these are the best days
There's always something tomorrow
So I say let's make the best of it
So don't wait cuz no-one can tell you it's too late
Cause these are the best days
There's always something tomorrow
So I say let's make the best of tonight
Yeah let's make the best of tonight
We'll make the best of tonight
Here comes the rest of our lives

-And Everything is Going to The Beat-

*I don't quite know how to say how I feel*

I can't stop thinking about what I passed by... What could have been. In retrospect, it seems so unreal. Unreal that I could have everything I've ever wanted at my fingertips and choose to pass it by. How could I be so blind?

*to think I might not see those eyes makes it so hard not to cry*

How do you think you tell someone that you love them, when you did the exact opposite before they left? I have always told myself that I should never make someone a priority if they only make me an option. Is it possible to show someone that they are the priority when all you have done has made them feel like an option? I am so sorry for doing that. It was so completely unfair of me. How could I miss the signs? all the times hanging out that you were so kind...

*all that I'm after is a life full of laughter*

I finally got everything I needed into the Admissions office at the U. Now it just depends on the graces of the admissions office team to let me in. It is driving me crazy to know that I can't do anything else but wait. My life direction is in the balance. Waiting...

*I'll be right beside you, dear*

I also am waiting on a car. I was in a car accident on the 14th (stupid valentines day) and my car, Roberto, is totaled. So now I am in the process of finding a car (on a 5K budget) that doesn't completely suck. AND I am going to have to come up with a name for potential said car that also doesn't completely suck. awesome.

I went to the Muddy Pig tonight to celebrate my friend's birthday, and somehow we found ourselves karaoke-ing at the Otter in NE. As always the Otter provided a phenomenal atmosphere, but it was missing a certain flair.. I don't think it will be the same until the summer comes...

-I'll follow you and you'll follow me-

-It's my polaroid solution to sort out this confusion-

In two hours, it will be Wednesday. A day when I will go to the doctor, maybe get some chai with my friend Sarah at Uncommon Grounds (voted best chai in the cities for 3 years in a row), maybe clean a little bit around my apartment. I have a lot actually to do around my apartment, since I am moving at the end of March. I am excited to move for 3 reasons. 1. Rent will be SOO much more affordable. 2. I will be living in a condo/townhouse which means I will have way more space to have people over! (most excellent!) 3. my roommate is awesome. I love her so much, and she has been so gracious to me. I can't believe how blessed I feel to have her in my life.

This Wednesday isn't just any other Wednesday though. The miracle of life is being celebrated tomorrow. My youngest niece, Hannah Ruth, is turning 1 year old. It seems like yesterday we were waiting in the hospital for her triumphant arrival (props to my sister-in-law for being a trooper through the c-section.) My beautiful little niece has the most tender disposition. She is beautiful, inside and out (even with her chicken pox! =]). As she grows older I hope that I will be as much of a blessing to her as she is to me.

It is also my friend's birthday. A really amazing friend, actually, and a significant birthday too. One who has been a better friend to me than I to him. One who I miss so incredibly. One who is worth more stars than the big dipper could ever hold. How I wish I could celebrate with you.

-someone told me you had oceans in your eyes-

What are reasons for loving someone? Should you love someone for what they look like, or how they look at you? Should you love them for what they laugh at or for how much they make you laugh? How about loving someone for who you think they should be, or for who they are?

What I have discovered is it is not about money, its not about fame, nor is it even about attraction (although you are beautiful). The heart is where it's at. I want to wake up (60 years from now - 10 years from now - 1 year from now - 1 month from now - tomorrow) next to my best friend, who looks at me the same way everyday, in love with everything I am. now. in that exact moment. just as I am with them. (It's the kind of look that a camera can't even hide.)

-If I forgot who I am, would you please remind me?-
.cause without you things go hazy.

Supposedly every day is a crisp, new begining. But that's according to God, who is always full of enough grace to give innumerable chances..

Do I have a chance? Because I am willing to give forever to try to deserve it.

The Scent is Strong as We Move On

.Everything that happens is from now on.

Ever have one of "those days"? Well, brothers and sisters, this one is endless. It's amazing when you have time to yourself the things you can think about. Like how you have wasted almost a year loving someone who says they love you but really doesn't. How you have wished on stars (so hard they break) that you could make them happy, or that they could make you happy. If only I had seen it sooner. I could have saved the big dipper.

I hope one day you find your heart, for her sake.

(Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. But where does the shame lie the third time around?)

In other big news, school has become a main focus. I am so ready to get my act together... damn itching anticipation. I have finally figured out what I want to do with my life, with what I've been given to use. My relief is overwhelming! No more wasting time, no more walking that fine line. (Follow the arrow where it goes, you'll know where it leads.)

."I'm not sure what I hate most, seeing you or not seeing you".
.How I hope that you still miss me.

I've been thinking a lot lately about decisions that I have made in my life. Yes, I have made mistakes, but do I have a chance at changing some? or am I stuck on this path... I lost my way back in '06, but I guess thats what heartbreak does to you. I have tried desperately to mend my break, but its never healed just right... When you don't have closure, It's hard for esteem to regain its composure. Even if I'm never fully in remission, maybe the realization is a medication for these sensations. Or a tasty English beer...

.Come around to me.

If given another chance, knowing what I know now, I would have chosen you. I think I've always known it, too.

.I could lie to you all my days, but you're the one.
.I'm a fool for waiting so long to let you know.

All I know is spending time with you is where the difference lies.

**
This is not the sound of a new man or crispy realization
It's the sound of the unlocking and the lift away
Your love will be
Safe with me
